Here’s Reason Why Duterte Has To Cancel His Visit to Quake Victims in Davao del Sur
DUTERTE – Presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo revealed the reason why President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has to cancel his visit to quake victims in Davao del Sur.
Rodrigo Roa Duterte is the 16th president of the Philippines and the first from Mindanao to hold the office. He is also the oldest person ever elected to the presidency.
The 74-year-old leader admitted that he has Barrett’s esophagus, Buerger’s disease, spinal issues, and migraines. He also admitted that he’s taking sleeping pills for “additional oxygen” while sleeping.
“Kung sasabihin mong normal, hindi siya normal kasi nga ang dami niyang nararamdaman. Kumbaga kung sinabi ko noon na if he was in the pink of health, ngayon I think he’s now in the green of health,” said Panelo.
Based on a report from ABS-CBN News, the spokesperson said President Duterte decided to cancel his supposed visit to the quake victims in Davao del Sur on Friday because he has to get enough sleep.
The Davaoeño politician needs to catch up on sleep because he had done a lot of activities in the past few days said Panelo. He was instead represented by Senator Bong Go and his youngest son Davao City Vice Mayor Baste Duterte.
According to the report, President Duterte was initially supposed to victims of the earthquake in Padada and Malalag on Thursday, January 2, but he’s not feeling well.
