Robin Padilla Defends Pope Francis on New Year Issue
ROBIN PADILLA – The Kapamilya actor reacted to the issue involving Pope Francis and a woman during the New Year’s day.
On New Year’s Day, several reports about celebrity insights and event celebrations crossed the surface. However, there is one report that hooked a lot of people and gathered different reactions.
Reportedly, Pope Francis slapped the hand of a woman who pulled him on New Year’s Day. It was after the Roman Catholic’s Holy Pope went near to the people and reached out to them. Just as he was turning, a woman grabbed his hand. He slapped her hand several times due to it.
The incident made noise on the different social media platforms. Some were shocked and disappointed by the reaction of the Pope while many totally understands it.
One of those who understood the gesture of Pope Franchis is Kapamilya actor Robin Padilla. In an Instagram post, he defended the Holy Pope in an issue involving a woman he slapped.
Robin Padilla raised a question on the respectfulness of the people as even Pope Francis was bashed. According to the Kapamilya actor, he watched a video of the incident and it was clear that the woman pulled his hand.
Robin stressed that it was done when the Pope was in an awkward position and he might have been hurt considering his age. The actor stressed that he is a Muslim defending the Holy Pope thus he wish that the Catholics will do the same.
