Vice Ganda has this statement about the rivalry between ‘It’s Showtime’ and ‘Eat Bulaga’
Comedian-host Vice Ganda has this statement regarding the rivalry between Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime and Kapuso noontime show Eat Bulaga.
Vice has been hosting the ABS-CBN show for 10 years now. It is know to many that the GMA show has been airing for 40 years now. With the rivalry that has been going on between the two noontime shows, Vice gave this statement.
Based on the article from Philippine Entertainment Portal, the comedian-host said, “Hindi naman namin kaaway ang Eat Bulaga!, ang Eat Bulaga! hindi naman kami kaaway, hindi kami magkaka-away, pero yung mga tao feeling nila magkaka-away at magkakagalit kami.”
This came from the question of reporters about the movies included in the official entries of Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2019. He said that although movies are shown at the same time, it does not mean that there should be a conflict between the stars.
“Totoo naman, I feel the same thing, di ba, kasi totoo namang magkakatapat yung pelikula namin, pero hindi naman kami magkaka-away,” Vice said agreeing to the statement of Iza Calzado. The actress said that the film fest should be a celebration of Filipino films and not a time to create a conflict among the artists.
“Sa pamamaraan din kasi ng pagpo-promote. At sa pamamaraan ng pagbibigay ng suporta ng ibang tao. Parang sila yung gumagawa ng sigalot,” the It’s Showtime host added.
He also cited the situation between him and Coco Martin. The two Kapamilya stars have been friends from a long time now. However, they became rivals in MMFF for several times now.
“Hindi naman kami nagpapa-interview, yung pelikula namin magkakatapat pero hindi kami magkaka-away,” he said, based in the article.
