Pokwang Airs Theory Why Gazini Ganados Failed To Take Home Miss Universe Crown
MISS UNIVERSE – Kapamilya actress Pokwang gave her theory why Gazini Ganados failed to take home the crown.

Miss South Africa Zozibini Tunzi was hailed as Miss Universe 2019. The most prestigious pageant in the world was held at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia on December 8.
The Cebuana beauty queen failed to crack the pageant’s top 10. Her fellowmen were hoping for a back-to-back win but they are still very proud of her for representing the country.
Surely, lots of Filipinos asked why she was not able to enter the finalists. Comedian and actress Pokwang gave a funny and witty observation.
Based on a report from PEP, Pokwang said the judges might be confused about what Gazini Ganados was projecting in the Miss Universe pageant.
“Nalito ang mga hurado kasi ang pino-project niya, Phoenix walk, ‘tapos naka-aguila siya na costume…”
“Dapat alam niya kung ano at sino siya ng araw na iyon! And I thank you,” she said.
Every beauty queen has their own signature pose and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray’s “Lava Walk” is among the most unforgettable ones. Gazini Ganados called her signature walk the “Phoenix walk.”
“It’s more than just a walk. It’s like every time I’m on stage, I feel I’m soaring, I’m flying. Just like the phoenix,” Gazini said.
During the preliminary round, she wore a Philippine Eagle-inspired costume made by designer Cary Santiago. She won the best in ‘Best in National Costume’ award.
In a previous article, host Steve Harvey announced the wrong winner of the ‘Best in National Costume.’ Gazini Ganados’ photo wearing the ‘Agila costume’ was flashed on the screen. Miss Universe Organization later confirmed that Miss Philippines actually won the national costume award.
