Richard Gomez Posts Throwback Photo Of 1995 SEA Games in Thailand
RICHARD GOMEZ – Actor-turned-politician Richard Gomez posted a throwback photo of the 1995 SEA Games PH fencing team.
The 30th Southeast Asian Games is held in the Philippines and organized by House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano. Days before the event, there have been several mishaps including the transportation and food of the athletes.
Cayetano and his team immediately responded to the issue after received backlash from the Filipino netizens. They surprised the media and the people with the grandiose opening ceremony at the Philippine Arena.
On the first day of the regional games, the Philippines have been clinching some of the gold medals. Among the Day 1 winners are Carlos Yulo, Agatha Wong, and John Chicano.
As the Filipino athletes continue to bag the medals of the biennial multi-sport event, actor-turned-politician Richard Gomez decided to share a throwback picture of him during the SEA Games in 1995.
On his Instagram post, Richard Gomez uploaded a photo of him with other athletes from the National Team for Fencing event. The veteran actor surely considered that event as one of his memories of joining the SEA Games. The regional meet was held in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
In the caption of the post, he wrote “1995 Chiang-Mai SEAGAMES. National Fencing Team for Epee.”
