GRENADE INCIDENT – Netizens recently revealed the backstory of the old man in the grenade incident on social media.

A netizen named Mariquile Dael recently posted photos on Facebook. One showed an old man suffering on a lawn, and the rest telling the story of the old man in the viral incident in Initao College in the town of Initao, Misamis Oriental.

A particular Tiko Ko said that the elder kept on going back and forth into the office of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) to follow up on the wood supply that the department confiscated.

The old man was supposed to sell the said supplies to the market. He needed the cash to buy medicine and family needs. The people around him mocked the elder and treated him like a child.

This enraged the old man and prompted him to cause tension in order to gain attention.

This was further proven by other netizens, who nearly said the same thing. A certain Mus-ab Ali Saumay, albeit saying almost the same story, further thanked PSMS Magno, who risked hi life to save others.

Saumay further suggested that if both parties tried to negotiate, this wouldn’t have happened. The netizen also said that shooting directly at the suspect wasn’t the best option, since there is a grenade that may explode at any moment.
