DOLE Announced the Increase On Metro Manila House Helpers’ Minimum Wage

METRO MANILA HOUSE HELPERS – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) announced that there will be an increase on the minimum wage for house helpers in Metro Manila.

Undeniably, a lot of Filipinos are working as household helpers to be able to provide food for their family and as well as for the other needs. Some are stay-in or lives at the house of their employers while others only reports on agreed hours.

House helpers do a lot of job depending on the agreement with the employers. The tasks may include cleaning the house, cooking for the family, babysitting the children, etc.

With regards to salary, most household helpers only receive enough for the needs of their families. Sadly, there are even those whose wage is far below the monthly expenses at their own household.
