The bureau said that it was last seen at about 430 kilometers east of the town of Basco, Batanes.

It is currently packed with maximum sustained winds of about 85 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 105 kilometers per hour. It is moving north at about 15 kilometers per hour as of 10 AM.

It is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Friday evening and Saturday morning. It is expected to weaken as it heads towards the East China Sea.

The now tropical storm, according to the bulletin, will not bring rainfall over the country. However, the amihan or the northeastern monsoon, will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains over the following areas:

  • Metro Manila
  • Bicol Region
  • Aurora
  • Quezon
  • Rizal
  • Laguna
  • Bulacan

Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands will still face gusty conditions due to amihan’s surge. The condition is expected to weaken throughout the day.
