UAAP Cheerdance Competition 2019 – National University dominates this years UAAP Cheerdance Competition again, their 6th title in seven years.

National University once again proved that they are the powerhouse of cheer dance as they get to snatch their 6th title in seven years in the UAAP Season 82 Cheerdance Competition on Sunday at Mall of Asia Arena. NU Pep Squad, for this decade declared dominance within seven years as they placed on top with its only fifth-place finish in 2017.

Difficult tosses, complicated scorpion poses, mighty pyramids, and impeccable dance routines and tumblings were all done and executed neatly and cleanly. NU head coach Ghicka Bernabe said. “I know all of our members, each and every one of them, are all skilful but more importantly they do everything with heart.”

The winners received Php 50,000.00 for the Champion, Php 30,000.00 for the 1st Runner-up, and Php 20,000.00 for the 2nd Runner-up. NU got a total of 722 points, while FEU got 706 points, and Adamson had a total score of 658.5 points.

At fourth place is University of Santo Tomas followed by University of the East, University of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University, and De La Salle University. Paula de la Llana-Nunag, Cheerdance head judge, said “This year was really, really special… This was the year where the competition was really tough. Everybody really leveled up.”
