Class Suspension Declared In These Areas on Tuesday (Nov 5)
WALANG PASOK – Several local government units have declared class suspension in different areas following the series of earthquakes last week.
Over the past few days, the series of powerful temblors that struck parts of Mindanao has been one of the most trending topics online. Numerous strong quakes repeatedly struck Cotabato and its nearby areas.
The disastrous earthquakes severely damaged several buildings and establishments. The calamity also injured hundreds of people and even killed some of the residents inside the buildings that suddenly collapsed during the incident.
Some local government units, schools, and universities declared the cancellation of classes following the consecutive major quakes last week that rocked Mindanao.
On Tuesday (November 5, 2019), several LGUs and schools have suspend the work and classes in the quake-affected areas. The declaration has been made to give more time to government personnel to conduct safety inspection and evaluation.
Here is the list of areas covered by the suspension of classes:
- Koronadal City – All levels, public and private schools
- Notre Dame of Pikit
