Coco Martin Reveals Reason Why he Chose To Celebrate Birthday W/ Cancer Patients
COCO MARTIN – Filipino actor and director Coco Martin revealed the reason why he preferred to celebrate his birthday with cancer patients.
Kapamilya actor Coco Martin is the lead actor of the top-rated show ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.’ He turned 38 years old last Friday, November 1.
Following a previous article, the actor’s rumored girlfriend Julia Montes took to Instagram to greet him on his birthday. The followers of the actress also greeted Coco.
Coco Martin got a birthday surprise from FPJAP cast and crew. The video of the surprise party was held on the set of the Kapamilya tv-series. It was uploaded by a fan on Instagram. Present were his co-stars Michael de Mesa, Raymart Santiago, and John Prats.
The prominent actor celebrated his birthday with kids who are diagnosed with cancer at the Philippine Children’s Medical Center. He had been celebrating his natal day in the said institution for three years now.
Coco Martin makes sure that the cancer patients at the PCMC are part of his special day. He took time off on his birthday and personally share his blessings with others.
‘The King of Independent Films’ was joined by his fellow FPJAP actors Aaron Villaflor, John Prats, Raymart Santiago, and Mark Lapid. They brought gifts and treats to the children.
Based on a report from ABS-CBN, Coco Martin said he preferred holding a charitable event than throwing a grand celebration.
“Imbes na mag-celebrate ako ng birthday ko, mag-party, sabi ko, bakit hindi na lang tayo mag-charity?”
“Dalawin natin ‘yung mga batang may sakit, ‘yung mga wala nang magulang. Tayo naman ay makapagpasaya at bilang ganti sa pagmamahal at suporta na binibigay nila sa programa namin,” he added.
