Jennylyn Mercado Is Dingdong Dantes’ Leading Lady In Filipino Adaptation of ‘Descendants Of The Sun’
JENNYLYN MERCADO – Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado will be Dingdong Dantes’ leading lady in the Pinoy adaptation of K-drama ‘Descendants of the Sun.’
Filipina actress and singer-songwriter, Jennylyn Mercado is one of the prominent actresses from the Kapuso network. She rose to stardom after winning the reality talent competition ‘StarStruck.’
The 32-year-old celebrity has starred in several films and tv series such as ‘Love Yout Two,’ ‘All Of You,’ ‘Just the 3 of Us,’ and ‘The Prenup’ among others. She is currently dating the prominent GMA-7 actor Dennis Trillo.
In a previous article, Jennylyn Mercado revealed why she still works at the Kapuso Network. She has been on the network for 16 years now. The actress said she’s thankful that the network still gives her projects after she gave birth to her child.
“Tinaggap nila ako nang buong-buo at hindi nila ako pinabayaan hanggang sa makarating ako ditto, kung nasaan ako ngayon,” said Jennylyn.
Jennylyn Mercado took to social media to express her reaction after she bagged a lead role in the Philippine adaptation of the South Korean hit tv series ‘Descendants of the Sun’ with Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes.
The actress admitted that she couldn’t help but post about her inclusion on the teleserye. She expressed that she’s very happy that she’s given the privilege to play the role of Dr. Maxine De La Cruz. Jennylyn said she was curious about who will play the role.
On the latter part of her caption, she vowed to the fans to the series that she will give justice to the role.
