Buses Showing Pirated Copies of “Hello, Love, Goodbye” Caught by Authorities
MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Several buses showing pirated copies of the blockbuster hit “Hello, Love, Goodbye” were caught by authorities.
On Wednesday (August 28, 2019), the government’s anti-film piracy arm caught some buses showing pirated “Hello, Love, Goodbye”. The agency confiscated several USB flash drives containing pirated copies of the film.
The Optical Media Board said that bus companies including Metro Manila Bus Co and Saulog Transit would face charges for showing the pirated version of the movie featuring Alden Richards and Kathryn Bernardo.
OMB conducted a raid and inspected the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange after receiving a tip from an unnamed source that the buses were showing a pirated copies of the Star Cinema’s hit film.
The board also said that the SanTrans Corp is also facing the same charges for showing a pirated version of “Avengers: Endgame”. The bus companies would face a fine of P1.5 million and jail time of up to six (6) years if found guilty.
Hello, Love, Goodbye is one of the most popular Filipino film over the past few weeks featuring the story of two Overseas Filipino Workers in Hong Kong. The movie has already grossed P800 million worldwide.
