TEACHER ROLES – Here are the roles of a single teacher in a classroom setting for everyone to be aware to know their noble job deeper.
A teacher is everything all rolled up into one inside the classroom. They studied and trained to be like that but it won’t be possible if they have no passion and compassion towards learners at all. Their job is the most noble at all and here is why.
These are the roles of a teacher inside the classroom:
- Controller – A teacher is completely in charge of the class coming from producing, assessing, developing, creating, revisiting, and revising.
- Prompter – A teacher encourages his students to participate and has always to be in support. The teacher facilitates the learning and helps the students to speak their mind.
- Resource – A teacher provides everything not just the material things but the help if needed, whatever they lack when performing some activities, and has to make himself approachable and available for learners to ask.
- Assessor – A teacher must see how his students perform in his class in order to carry out feedback or correction and know if there is any serious matter about the performance that should be immediately addressed.
- Organizer – This is the most important role of being a teacher – being an organizer for it is in his way of organizing that determines the success of students in particular activities.
- Participant – A teacher must get engage in certain activities with his students in order to build harmony and good relationship with them. This is a great way to have an interaction with them still dominating but not being too overpowering.
- Tutor – A teacher, aside from being a teacher for everyone is also a teacher in each of them. If one student could not understand a certain concept, a teacher must be there to guide, advice, and clarify it.
Generally based on Eton Institute, one of the most important part of learning is the teacher who knows her roles for the student and in the learning process.
