Authorities Arrest Former Police Asset in Davao Drug Buy-Bust
FORMER POLICE ASSET – A former asset of the police authorities in Davao City was arrested during a drug buy-bust operation.
One of the campaign promises of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is to clean the Philippines from the presence of drugs. Since he assumed office, drug buy-bust operations are conducted everywhere.
The operations led to the arrest of many people. In fact, there are celebrities, politicians, and even policemen who were nabbed during the operations.
Recently, in Davao City, another person who was formerly connected with the police was arrested by the authorities. It was during a drug buy-bust operation.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, a former police asset was arrested by the authorities during a drug buy-bust operation in Davao City. The suspect was caught with one sachet of suspected drugs along with Php 1,000.00 during a buy-bust in Barangay Riverside, Calinan District.
According to the report, Calinan Police Major Arquiomedes Wesley expressed that the ex-asset has previously helped them in an operation. However, according to the police, he allegedly engaged into an illegal activity.
The suspect is one of those included in the drugs watch list. On the part of the former asset who is also a painter, it is allegedly not true that there was a buy-bust operation.
