Recently, an anonymous member of the Facebook page “DOG LOVERS PHILIPPINES” shared her unpleasant experience with a bus company. The post quickly circulated on social media and garnered various reactions from the netizens.

The woman claimed that she was forced to get off the bus because she was traveling with her pet cat. She detailed how she was on a trip from Sariaya, Quezon, to Alabang in the early hours of Monday (March 3, 2025).

When she boarded the bus, the conductor saw her pet cat inside a pet bag but did not mention any issue. However, during the trip, when more passengers got on, her cat meowed again. The conductor then questioned her about bringing a pet on board.

The bus stopped at Tiaong, and the conductor gave her two options. She could either place her cat in the bus compartment, with no guarantee of its safety, or leave the bus without a refund. Concerned for her pet’s welfare, she asked for a partial refund, but the conductor refused, saying her ticket had already been punched.

The lady passenger was frustrated because there was no visible sign stating that pets were not allowed. She also mentioned that she had traveled with her cat on other buses before without any issues.

Hello po, hingi lang po sana ako ng advice if pwede ko po ba ireklamo ung nasakyan po namin ng Cat ko from Sariaya Quezon to Alabang po around 3-4am today March 3,2025.

Nong sumakay po kami kita naman po niya yung cat ko na nasa pet bag and nagmeow siya nong binabayadan ko na yung fare ko papuntang alabang. Along the way from Candelaria biglang dumami yung sakay nong bus and nagmeow ulit ung cat ko nagsabi siya na “ate nagmeow ung pusa mo, may pusa ka pala”. After that, tumigil ang bus sa Tiaong at he insisted na if pwedeng sa compartment ng bus na lang ilagay yung cat ko para hindi ako mapababa. I replied na what if mamatay yung pusa ko habang bumabyahe kung don nila ilalagay? He answered me na wala kaming pananagutan diyan if mamatay kasi alam nyo naman po na bawal ang pusa”. I asked him nicely if pwede kong irefund na lang yung half nong binayad ko but hindi na daw pwede kasi napunch na daw. Tinanong ko ulit siya if anong mangyayare kung ganon? He gave me option:

1. ilagay sa compartment yung pusa ko at hindi sila liable if mamatay

2.bumaba kami without refund.

He even insisted na nakalagay daw na bawal ang hayop pero wala namang nakapost na bawal.

Sanay po namin ibyahe yung cat ko na nakabus and ibang bus from lucena to alabang na hindi kami pinapababa pero this bus company sobra sobra sila.

Any advice po sana, if saan or paano magreklamo?
