DUTERTE SONA 2019 – President Rodrigo Roa Duterte delivered his 4th State of the Nation Address (SONA) last July 22 and here are the highlights in a video.
Every year, a State of the Nation Address or more commonly known as SONA is held. It gathers several personalities not only in the field of politics but also those actors and actresses who are partners of politicians.
The SONA is the perfect opportunity for the President to deliver the accomplishments of his administration. Also, it is a venue where the President can give update on certain issues about the country.
On July 22, the Duterte SONA 2019 was held at the Batasang Pambansa. It is the 4th State of the Nation Address of Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte.
In the Duterte SONA 2019, Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte talked about drugs and corruption which are his campaign promises to the Filipinos. His fight against the two(2) continues.
The President also encourages the public to be assertive of their rights as long as they are telling the truth. According to him, for corruption issues, the Palace is open 24/7.
With regards to the territorial dispute between the Philippines and China, the President mentioned the “avoidance of conflict”. He stressed the result of war and admitted that he is not ready for it. According to him, he prefers to settle things in a “peaceful way”.
