Netizens have funny comments on the hospital scene of Cardo Dalisay
The hospital scene of Cardo Dalisay, Coco Martin’s character in Ang Probinsyano, elicited funny comments from netizens.
Recalling the previous episode of the Kapamilya primetime series, Cardo had an encounter against Alyas Bungo, the antagonist character played by Baron Geisler.
Fans of Coco were shocked when he was stabbed and shot but they are still hopeful that he will be alive after that.
Then, he was rushed to the hospital but the serious scene caught the attention of many netizens in a funny way, especially those who have knowledge about the medical field.
They noticed that a wrong tape was used for the ET tube of Cardo Dalisay.
The ET tube or the endotracheal tube is a small usually plastic tube inserted into the trachea through the mouth or nose to maintain an unobstructed passageway especially to deliver oxygen or anesthesia to the lungs. — called also breathing tube. – Merriam-Webster Dictionary
According to a netizen who is also a registered nurse, leukoplast tape (the brown one) must be used in this case and not the micropore (the white one). Nurses and other medical practitioners already knew when to use the tapes.
“Dapat leukoplast ang gnagamit na pang anchor at adhere. Pag micropore kc matatanggal yan agad,” the nurse said.
With this, on the Facebook Page of Nurse Hokage, several netizens expressed their funny interpretation of Cardo Dalisay’s hospital scene.
Here are some of the comments from netizens.
“I commend the bedside nurse for the meticulous oral care!”
“Jusko naman!! Buhay yan si Coco!! Kaya di na kailangan ng kung ano ano pang mga pinagsasabi nyo dyan! Kahit scotch tape gamitin dyan buhay yan promise!!!”
“Hindi ata naghuhulog ng Philhealth si Cardo kaya tinipid. Kulang nalang ipaikot at gawing balbas yung micropore”
“malapit na talaga matapos ang probinsyano, cause of death: micropore”
This is not the first time that netizens and viewers criticized a teleserye because of unrealistic scenes, especially when it comes to the medical field.
The defunct TV series in the Kapuso network, Kambal, Karibal, also received criticisms and funny comments from netizens due to a failed scene in an emergency room.
