The rain is one of the most essential factors in the water cycle that gives people the fresh water. It is formed through evaporation where water reaches the atmosphere, then followed by a condensation process forming tiny droplets which will eventually turn into clouds. And when getting bigger and heavier, that’s the time they fall on ground call rain.

  • The rain in Venus is made of sulfuric but before even it touches the ground, it starts to evaporate due to the extreme heat of the considered hottest planet in the solar system.
  • Antarctica is the least rainy place, not desert.
  • A small Texas town, Alvin, experienced rain for 24 hours and dropped 43 inches of rain in July 1979 because of the Tropical Storm Claudette.
  • The smell of the rain is due to soil-dwelling bacteria called Geosmin and the smell is even called Petrichor.
  • From 18 to 22 miles per hour is the maximum speed of the rain which could really be hurtful.
