Trainer Freddie Roach Hopes For Pacquiao-Mayweather Rematch After Thurman Match
Freddie Roach said that he is still hoping for Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. rematch after the Pinoy boxer fights Keith Thurman this month.
The American trainer Freddie Roach said that he was still bothered by the loss of Manny Pacquiao to Mayweather during their 2015 match.
Roach said that the boxing fans were left disappointed on the result of the so-called “Fight of the Century”.
Pacman’s performance against the undefeated champion has been affected by his shoulder injury.
“Hopefully we can get Mayweather to come to the table, I would like us to have one more crack at him. I would like us to fight Mayweather again because I didn’t like the way we performed. I was disappointed in myself,” Roach said.
The boxer turned Senator would face the unbeaten American champion Keith Thurman at the MGM Grand on July 20, 2019.
The 40-year-old Pinoy champion said that he is only looking for active fighters and he is not thinking of fighting Mayweather again as long as he stays retired.
