ABS-CBN franchise renewal failed during PNoy administration because of Noli de Castro and Ted Failon?
How true is it that journalists Noli de Castro and Ted Failon were the reasons why the ABS-CBN franchise renewal failed during the administration of former President Noynoy Aquino?
The franchise of the Kapamilya network will expire in 2020 and President Rodrigo Duterte is vocally criticizing the media company.
Based on a previous report, the House of Representatives froze the bill seeking the renewal of franchise because congressmen knew that most likely the President will not sign it.
Another previous report stated that allegedly, Kapamilya actor Robin Padilla is acting as a mediator between the President and ABS-CBN regarding this issue.
Despite this trying times for the network, according to the report from Pilipino Star Ngayon, the ABS-CBN executives has this motto: “Habang may buhay, may pag-asa.”
Entertainment columnist Salve Asis said in her article that allegedly, the network has been working out its franchise renewal back in the time of PNoy’s administration. It is because ABS-CBN management was not sure who will be the next President after Aquino.
However, Noynoy Aquino allegedly hindered the ABS-CBN franchise renewal because of Noli de Castro and Ted Failon.
The alleged reason was that the veteran journalists were attacking the cabinet members under PNoy administration.
Meanwhile, based on the article, names of the businessmen who will possibly take over the Kapamilya network already surfaced such as Mr. Dennis Uy and Enrique Razon.
However, the network is still hoping for the best. “Have faith little one (‘til your hopes and your wishes come true),” an ABS-CBN executive said.
