Malacañang Palace Declares July 15 As Special Non-Working Holiday

Malacañang Palace has declared July 15, 2019, as a special non-working holiday in selected areas in the country in observance of a certain occasion.

Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea declared July 15 as a special non-working holiday in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) to celebrate its 32nd founding anniversary.

Medialdea signed the Proclamation 763 declaring the holiday in the region to allow the people to participate in the occasion.

“It is but fitting and proper that the people of the CAR be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies,” Proclamation 763 stated.

The Proclamation has been made under the Executive Order 220 approved by the late President Corazon “Cory” Aquino on July 15, 1987.

Here are the areas covered by the special non-working holiday in CAR:

  • Abra
  • Apayao
  • Benguet
  • Ifugao
  • Kalinga
  • Mountain Province
  • Tabuk City
  • Baguio City

The Palace also announced several dates of July as non-working holidays in the following areas and schedules:

  • Sta-Rosa City, Laguna – July 10
  • Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental – July 12
  • Mauban, Quezon – July 15
