Two were injured Jerome Amada and Sherwin Rivera. Initial investigation showed that the target was the part-owner of the shop and the suspect is his acquaintance Hans Jurgen Dingcong.

Reynaldo and Elvira Ramos marched with the graduating class of the university to receive the Kis’ diploma on June 28, 2019.

The father of the slain student stood on the stage facing his daughter’s batchmates. Reynaldo even raised his fist with a Mao Zedong cap. His gesture signified resistance and revolution, based on the report.

“Hustisya para kang Kis Ramos! Hustisya,” the emotional father cried.

Aside from being a working student, Kis was also a writer of Tug-ani [which means “tell the truth”], the university’s official student paper. Through this, she helped raise awareness on marginalized sectors and human rights.
