Southwest Monsoon To Affect Parts of Philippines, PAGASA Says

The state weather bureau PAGASA announced that the southwest monsoon would affect the weather conditions over some parts of the Philippines.

On Thursday (June 13, 2019), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather updates in the country.

PAGASA said that the southwest monsoon would bring cloudy weather conditions with scattered rains and thunderstorms over the Ilocos Region, Batanes, Babuyan Group of Islands, Zambales and Bataan.

The localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rains and rainshowers over Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country.

The weather agency also warned the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over northern and central Luzon as well as the rest of the country would be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
