MMDA Chief Reacts On Duterte’s Vow On 5 Mins Travel Time Between Cubao, Makati
MMDA – The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman said don’t take President Duterte’s promise literally.
Following a previous article, President Rodrigo Duterte promised to reduce the travel time from Cubao to Makati.
Since it’s been a problem for all the Filipino who works in the big cities, the government are doing their best to resolve the issue.
President Duterte’s vow that he’ll make the travel time from Cubao to Makati cut short into 5 minutes surely lighten the mood of the commuters.
“You just wait. Ayaw kong mag-ano. Things will improve. Maybe god-willing December smooth sailing na…”
“You don’t have to worry about traffic. Cubao and Makati is just about 5 minutes na lang,” he added.
Based on a report from ABS-CBN, MMDA Chairman Danilo Lim reacted on President Duterte’s statement about the 5 minutes trip from Makati to Cubao.
The official in charge of the Philippine traffic said don’t take the president statement literally.
“Don’t take that literal,” said MMDA chairman.
According to the report, people should not concentrate on reduced travel time. What Duterte meant is that people should anticipate for the big change.
“Huwag tayo mag-concentrate sa 5 minutes. Ang ibig sabihin ng Pangulo, umasa tayo ng malaking pagbabago,” Lim told the reporters.
Based on the report, the MMDA chairman said several road projects are set to reduce the travel time in Metro Manila, including the NLEX-SLEX Connector road project and the C-5 Road extention.
