This Customer Was Enraged Over The Word “Bakla” Was Written On His Receipt
CUSTOMER RANTS – A customer in a local restaurant shared complaints after the word “Bakla” referring to him was written on the receipt.
LGBT members have been long accepted in the Filipino community. Gay personalities have made names in Filipino media, international pageantry and other aspects.
In fact, a Filipino member of the LGBT community has been crowned as Mr. Gay World 2019.
However, in a recent case, a certain LGBT member shared his complaints on Facebook about a local restaurant’s staff that wrote “Bakla” on his receipt.
Shared by a certain Kayecie Correa Sia, the photos were posted by a Facebook page “Philippine trends and news”.
The photos were posted with the caption explaining the incident:
“Umorder k naman ng naayos nakipag usap naman s knla ng maayos tapos ganun ang ilalagay sa resibo.”
[We made orders appropriately. We had conversations nicely and they wrote that [Bakla] on the receipt.]
“Kaya pala nag tatawanan sila habang umoorder kming mag kakaibigan . Nakakalungkot o nakaka bwusit isipin na bkit mrmi pa din mga taong ganto sa tulad naming.”
[So that’s why they were laughing while I and my friends are placing our order. It’s sad and annoying to think that there are still people who mistreats people like us.]
The customer stated that the orders and payment were done nicely. And the staff wrote “bakla” to refer to them instead of their names.
“Nag bayad umorder ng maayos ultimo sa resibo hndi pa din kmi ginagalang at may pangalan binigay ang magulang namin para isulat sa resibo na BAKLA tlga.”
[We paid and placed our orders nicely, but even with the receipt they disrespected us. Our parents didn’t give us names for them to write “bakla” on the receipt.]
The post was made less than a day ago and it already had more than 300 reactions and has been shared over 80 times.
There were also 300+ various comments arguing from both sides.
Some people believe that the customers were right that the gesture was rude.
And some people believe that it was only a way for the restaurant staff to remember the customers easily.
This is according to the Facebook post of Philippines trends and news.
That is all there is to it, atleast for now. We’ll post updates as soon as we got them.
