Regine Velasquez defends fellow judges.

REGINE VELASQUEZ – The Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez defended her fellow “Idol Philippines” whose credibilities are now a subject of criticisms against them.

Among those at the center of backlash online are the credibilities of “Idol Philippines” judges James ReidMoira Dela Torre, and Vice Ganda. To complete the four sitting on the table is Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez whose skills and comments about the auditionee’s performance technicalities in the said talent show was well-commended by the viewers.

In a previous article, allegedly, the three judges with Regine are supposed to be the singers Jose Marie Chan, Kuh Ledesma, and Erik Santos who is reportedly to represent each era’s music industry to which at such are the 70s, 80, and 2000s, respectively.

Now, with the backlash online received by the announced three judges, Regine came in defense saying, “Mayroon kaming mga kanya kanyang specialty. Ako obviously, sa technicals ako. A lot of times, they don’t even question what I say. So kanya kanya kami ng trabaho. They were chosen because mayroon silang expertise din.”

Meanwhile, she added that it’s a good thing the show is trending every weekend as she believes it is interesting.

“That’s a good thing. Very interesting naman kasi talaga ‘yung show and the mix of the contestants. Plus you have four different personalities in there na iba din ang tingin sa bawat performance. It’s really interesting,” she said.

Moreover, with the task of being on that table, she understands the big responsibility that entails to it, though, it surely is not an easy one. She added, “It’s part of our job. When I took on the [job of being] a judge on ‘Idol Philippines,’ I wanted to be honest, hindi para mang-hurt ng feelings or sirain dreams nila. I want for them to be better kaya kailangan ko maging honest. Hindi ko puwedeng sabihin na okay lang pero hindi naman.”
