Here’s Chinese Defense Minister’s Remarks On Going To War With US
CHINESE DEFENSE – Wei Fenghe, Defense Minister of China released a statement last Sunday that a war against US would be a global disaster.
Tensions between US and China have been increasing lately. Previous report shows China’s State Media sending a warning to the United States.
The conflict continues to rise as both countries deal with disagreements.
Wei Fenghe released a statement about the outcome of a war during his speech where he also released a warning to Washington, US to avoid getting involved in their dispute on security over Taiwan and South China Sea.
The Chinese government has been agitated recently because of the US President Donald Trump’s administrative decisions to call for an increase of support for self-management and democracy in Taiwan.
US Navy vessels also sailed across the Taiwan Strait – the Strait that separates the island from China’s mainland.
At the Shangri-La Dialogue – Asia’s premier defense summit – in Singapore, Wei Fenghe also claimed that China is prepared to “fight to the end” in an event of interference regarding their relationship with Taiwan.
Beijing considers the Island as a sacred territory and that they will seize it with force if the situation calls for it.
Wei Funghe also said Beijing’s military activities in Asia were done with intentions of self-defence. However, they will not hold back to return an attack when their interest were attacked.
Wei Funhe also expressed his thought on a possible war and explained that the outcome could be chaotic in his statement:
“China will not attack unless we are attacked. The two sides realize that conflict, or a war between them, would bring disaster to both countries and the world.”

US, on the other hand, does not have a formally set direct relation ship with Taiwan. But US is their biggest support and weapon source.
