Bayani Agbayani and Salvador Panelo have different statements on Japan trip with President Duterte
The statement of Kapamilya comedian on Japan trip with President Rodrigo Duterte is different from the statement of Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo.
Bayani, as one of the celebrities who supported Senator-elect Bong Go during the campaign, also supports the current administration.
He was also one of the celebrities who went to Japan with President Duterte.
The comedian explained that the government paid for his economy ticket but he was the one who bought the ticket for his wife Lenlen.
This is the same thing that happened to Dianne Medina who brought her boyfriend Rodjun Cruz to the trip.
“Mapapanghawakan ko lang ang sarili ko, ha? Hindi ko alam yung sa iba. Akala ko, blowout sa amin, yun pala, magtatrabaho kami. Kaya sabi ko kay Lenlen, matuwa na lang tayo dahil nakita naman, tinitipid talaga nila,” he said.
Both Bayani and Dianne were present during the private dinner with President Duterte at the Malacanang Palace before the election.
On the other hand, this statement from the Kapamilya comedian is different from the statement that came from Panelo.
Based on a report from GMA News Online, the Presidential Spokesperson said, “from what I know, they came to Japan on their own accord.”
However, he advised the media to ask the celebrities personally regarding this matter.
“Ask them why they are here. They are the credible source of your information. Mine will be speculative,” Panelo said, based on the report.
The recent Japan trip of the Chief Executive of the Philippines was his third time since he assumed the presidency in 2016.
