The state weather bureau PAGASA warned the public of one or two tropical cyclones that may enter the Philippines in June.

On Thursday (May 30, 2019), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) predicted the start of rainy season on the second week of June.

PAGASA said one or two tropical cyclones usually enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) during the month of June based on the climatological record.

The record shows that cyclones usually cross the landmass while some cyclones recurve during the month of June.

Meanwhile, the frontal system is currently affecting the weather condition over Northern Luzon.

The weather agency also warned the residents living in low-lying and mountainous areas for possible flashfloods and landslides.

Sea travel remains safe for seafarers and fisherfolks since PAGASA has not issued a gale warning.
