The “komedyante” side of Pasig City Mayor-elect Vico Sotto will definitely prove that he is the son of veteran comedian Vic Sotto.
Unlike his parents, Vic and Coney Reyes, Vico chose to be in politics or public service rather than in show business.
He said in a previous interview that he does not see himself working in front of the camera for a long time, although he had a few showbiz stints before.
His parents attested that even when he was younger, Vico already expressed his desire to work in the government.
As he officially started his political career in 2016 as he ran for councilor in Pasig, Vic and Coney were always there to support him.
That support extended when he filed his certificate of candidacy for the mayoralty race against incumbent Mayor Robert Eusebio whose family has been reigning in local government in Pasig for 27 years.
Yes, Vico Sotto chose the other side of Sottos, working in the government. However, that does not mean he was not able to have the showbiz side of his clan.
