PRC To Implement Suspension of Service on Election 2019 Day (May 13)

PRC – The Profession Regulation Commission is set to implement suspension of services on May 13, the day for Election 2019.

Currently, the election authorities and as well as the public are preparing for the upcoming Election 2019. It will be held on May 13 – around two(2) days from now.

Both local and national bids are part of the upcoming election. There will be elections for the positions of governor, vice governor, mayor, vice mayor, and councilors in the local level.

In the national level, the people can exercise their right to suffrage by voting for the seats in the House of Senate and the House of Representatives.

The Malacañang Palace has already declared May 13 as a special non-working day in the Philippines in line with the upcoming election.

Recently, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) also announced that it is set to implement suspension of services on May 13 for the Election 2019.

Based on the official announcement of the Commission, the suspension of services on May 13 for the Election 2019 includes all the PRC offices, the off-site service centers, and the OSSCOs.

The decision of the government agency is in line with the Proclamation No. 719 declaring May 13 as a special non-working day. It is to give way for the Commission’s personnel to be able to vote on the particular day set for election.

According to the Commission, the offices will resume on May 14, 2019 and the public who got appointment dates on May 13 will be accommodated the day after it when services resumes.
