NETIZEN – A netizen shared a video of the broken fire exit of a famous apartment hotel in Makati City.

An emergency exit or fire exit route is important because it’s the safest way to evacuate the building in case of a disaster.

All the public buildings, commercial buildings or workplaces ate required to have emergency exit doors. The owner of the building should make sure that the fire exits are unlocked and ready to use at all times.

Yesterday afternoon, a magnitude 6.1 earthquake hit Zambales and some parts of Luzon.

It is a very powerful shake that it even destroyed some buildings and “killed” some people. Metro Manila employees and students were immediately requested to evacuate the area.

Meanwhile, a netizen shared his tragic experience during the earthquake while staying at a famous apartment hotel in Makati.

Kapamilya tv anchor Karen Davila was also alarmed by that incident. She’s among the people who shared the video on Twitter.

“OMG! What?! I hope Ascott Management addressed this immediately,” said Karen.

The netizen shared a video clip showing how they tried to evacuate the building but couldn’t because the hotel’s fire exit is allegedly broken.

In the caption of the video, he wrote: “Ascott Makati fire exit sira, Kung malakas and lindol or may zombie apocalypse patay na kami.”
