Holy Week 2019: MRT-3 & LRT-1 Release Operating Schedules
The Metro Manila Rail Transit System (MRT-3) and the Light Rail Transit (LRT) System Line 1 released their operating schedules for Holy Week 2019.
Every Holy Week, most establishments and businesses were closed and other services temporarily canceled their operations to allow their employees to enjoy the holiday.
The transportation sectors are also included on the unavailable services during the Lenten Season affecting the Filipino commuters.
MRT-3 and LRT-1 have released their operating schedules informing the public a few days before Holy Week 2019.
LRT-1 would have four days operating schedules while MRT-3 would have a seven-day shutdown during the Lenten season.
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced that MRT-3 will be closed from April 15 (Holy Monday) to 21, 2019 (Easter Sunday) as a part of their annual general maintenance.
DOTr also said that LRT-1 would shut down on April 18 (Maundy Thursday) until April 21 (Easter Sunday).
The Light Rail Transit (LRT) System Line 1 would be only available on Monday (April 15) until Wednesday (April 17) starting 4:30 am to 10:15 pm.
