Here’s ABS-CBN official statement to Liza Soberano’s withdrawal.

ABS-CBN OFFICIAL STATEMENT – The home network of the Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano released official statement about her withdrawal.

In a previous article, the Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano emotionally and even shed tears during an interview after speaking about her withdrawal and for letting her fans down. As much as she wanted to do the project, her injury won’t let her and would just hinder her to play the role excellently.

Initially, it was supposed to be Angel Locsin who will play the Darna role but also backed out because of her back injury. Another exit followed by the original director Erik Matti due to creative differences.

“Because during Bagani po nagkaroon po ako ng accident on my finger po… We’ve been trying to fix it since August po until now. I’ve been undergoing theraphy. I had surgery twice napo… So we’ve been trying to fix it,” Liza said.

With this, her network and Star Cinema had to let her go for her wellness is the priority. They cannot force her to do it because of her situation which will just be a bother especially in doing some actions. And considering that she will play a superhero role, in most probability, the entire movie will require a lot action scenes.
