PDEA’s narco list included 31 celebrities
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) stated that 31 celebrities are included on the narco list.
Previously, the agency revealed that two celebrities were involved to the slain party drug dealer Steve Pasion.
According to a report, the mobile phone of Pasion showed conversations with unnamed celebrities.
One celeb even asked for 200 pieces of Ecstasy, which is known to be a popular party drug. PDEA hinted that the said celebrity is really popular and is visible to the viewers every day.
However, the agency refused to reveal the identities of the said two celebrities because of the possibility that Pasion was just using aliases for his clients.
Reportedly, the drug dealer allegedly sourced the narcotics from the Netherlands and other parts of Europe through the dark web.
In line with this, actor-host and Senator Tito Sotto stressed that if President Rodrigo Duterte revealed the names of narco politicians, the involved celebs in drugs should be named also.
A recent report from PDEA revealed that 31 celebrities are included on the narco list.
“All 31 are popular; not one is a has-been,” PDEA director general Aaron Aquino said, based on the report from The Philippine Star.
Meanwhile, regarding the narco politicians, Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año said that 20 names in the list from the President are still undergoing validation.
The PDEA, National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and Philippine National Police are the four government agencies that are conducting the validation.
“The information should really be confirmed. These officials should follow higher standards in terms of public service. You are accountable because public service is a public trust, meaning you are not the same with the rest of the citizens,” Año said, based on the report.
