Gretchen Fullido case against fellow reporters got dismissed.

GRETCHEN FULLIDO CASE – The filed libel charges of Gretchen Fullido against Ces Drilon and Marie Lozano has been dismissed by the Office of the Prosecutor of Quezon City.

As much as anyone can probably remember, Kapamilya reporter Gretchen Fullido earlier filed sexual harassment charges against former TV Patrol supervising producer Cheryl Favila and segment producer Maricar Asprec. She accused them of sexually harassing her as she alleged that they “sent her text messages that were loaded with sexual innuendos, which amounted to requests for sexual favors.”

Moreover, Fullido accused journalist Ces Drilon of “victim blaming” to which was refuted by the latter as she herself is an advocate of women empowerment and rights of women. She said in her official statement, “Throughout my life, I have been an advocate of women’s rights and women’s empowerment. As a victim of sexual harassment once before, it is unthinkable for me to say what Gretchen Fullido alleges I did.”

Meanwhile, Marie Lozano faced libel charges after she reportedly said a sworn statement that Fullido filed a complaint because “she wanted to hold on to Star Patrol.”

As per the report of the ABS-CBN News, the filed cases of the Kapamilya showbiz reporter has been dismissed by the Prosecutor Office of the Quezon City. The resolution against Drilon cited, “In our point of view, the person who executed the same is merely stating her opinion or observation. Also, relaying to another person words which you previously heard is not defamatory and malicious.”

With the sexual harassment issues of Fullido versus the network’s executives, ABS-CBN statement has indicated, “When Ms. Fullido filed an administrative case against a supervising producer and a segment producer for alleged sexual harassment in November 2017, the company took prompt action on the administrative complaint and decided based on the evidence presented.”
