NICKO FALCIS REACTION – The accused Nicko Falcis reacted to Estafa charges with probable cause but also stressed out dismissal of Qualified Theft Complaint.
The Makati Prosecutor’s Office and the Pasig City Prosecutor’s Office have both dismissed the Qualified Theft complaint of Kris Aquino against the financial whiz Nicko Falcis. And just recently, the Taguig City fiscal also dismissed the same complaint but found probable cause to charge the accuse of Estafa through Misappropriation and Conversion and violation of Access Devices Regulation Act.
With this, the camp of Falcis also disclosed their press statement after the Taguig City released their resolution with regards to the complaint of Aquino. They have stressed the following:
Last March 07, 2019, the Office of the City Prosecutor of Taguig issued a Resolution
(1) DISMISSING the complaint of Kris Aquino for QUALIFIED THEFT
(2) finding probable cause for Estafa, and
(3) finding probable cause for violation of R.A. 8484 or the Access Device Regulation Act of 1998.
Moreover, the brother of the accused, lawyer Jesus Falcis lambasted the latest resolution stating: “Taguig dismissed qualified theft clearly. So why did it find probable cause for estafa when that wasn’t the complaint of Kris Aquino?”
Previously, Aquino filed 44 counts of theft and violation of the Republic Act 8484 versus KCAP’s former managing director. Also, the same charges were filed in cities such as San Juan, Mandaluyong, Pasig, Makati, Taguig, and Manila.
And the qualified theft complaint got dismissed in the fiscals of Makati, Pasig, and Taguig while the other were still pending on three cities left: Mandaluyong, San Juan, and Manila.
