Sandiganbayan Approves Nur Misuari’s Motion To Travel Abroad

NUR MISUARI – The Sandiganbayan gave its approval on the motion of Nur Misuari to travel abroad.

Misuari, the founder of Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF), is currently one of those who is facing charges over allegations when he was still part of the local government.

The former governor of the then Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) is involved in the alleged anomalous purchase of educational materials worth Php 77 million.

Misuari is currently facing graft and malversation charges over the allegations. Recently, a news report about the MNLF Founder crossed the surface.

Based on a report on CNN, the motion filed by the camp of Nur Misuari regarding his travel abroad gained the approval of the Sandiganbayan but a conditional arraignment was set.

Misuari is allowed to go to the United Arab Emirates and Morocco for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Council of Foreign Ministers Summit in March.

Reportedly, he is also set to attend the 14th Session of Parliamentary Union of Islamic Cooperation Member States. The former ARMM governor is expected to be back in the Philippines by March 20.

Based on the report, Nur Misuari had to post a bail of Php 920,000 as a travel bond for the trip following the Sandiganbayan approving his motion. The MORO founder is expected to leave the country Tuesday night.
