Netizens criticized the oversize campaign material of Bong Go
The oversize campaign material of former Special Assistant to the President and senatorial candidate Bong Go received criticisms from netizens.
Previously, Go’s posters which were spotted in front of Paranaque City Hall also received scrutiny on social media.
Politicians are prohibited to post their campaign posters in public places such as the city hall.
Just recently, another social media post showed the tarpaulin of Bong Go exceeding the required size by the Commission on Elections.
Facebook user TinTin Pulintan shared a photo showing a the campaign poster of the former SAF which almost occupied the whole block.
The said netizen called to COMELEC officials to take action about the oversize campaign poster.
“Calling the attention of COMELEC officials, aware ba kau na mismo mukha ni Digong andun sa tarps na hindi sumusunod sa requirements ng sukat? Ano yan nabayaran ba kau? dahil regarding sa inyo i disqualified ang di sumusunod. Wala pa sa SENADO, #1 NG HINDI MARUNONG SUMUNOD, PAANO MAGIGING MABUTING MAMBABATAS ANG ISANG LAW BREAKER???” Pulintan said.
Based on the report from Inquirer, here are the guidelines regarding the sizes of campaign materials: C
8.5 inches x 14 inches
Maximum size allowed for pamphlets, leaflets, cards, decals,
2 ft. x 3 ft.
Maximum size allowed for posters cloth, paper, and cardboard
3 ft. x 8 ft.
Maximum size allowed for streamers, which must be displayed five days before the meeting or rally date until exactly 24 hours after the activity.
