Dayanara Torres reveals she has cancer

Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres revealed through a video on her Facebook account that she is currently battling cancer.

The former beauty queen has gained the love of Filipino fans when she stayed here in the Philippines to pursue her showbiz career.

She did various shows and movies in the country such as the one she made with Aga Muhlach titled Basta’t Kasama Kita.

For a long time, Dayanara was also a part of ASAP where she showcased her dancing prowess.

She was here in the Philippines last year as one of the judges in Miss Universe 2016 and for the 22nd anniversary of ASAP she had her viral performance.

Indeed, Dayanara Torres is still an epitome of beauty until now. However, a devastating happening shocked her fans.

She shared through a Facebook video that she is not battling skin cancer or melanoma “from a big spot/mole she never paid attention to.”

“My fiancé Louis had been begging me to have it checked & finally made an appointment himself… after a biopsy & a second surgery last Tuesday the results unfortunately are positive. Now we are waiting to see which treatment I will be receiving but they have already removed a big area from the back of my knee & also they have removed 2 lymph nodes at the top of my leg where it had already spread. Hoping it has not spread to any more areas or organs,” Dayanara shared.

Behind this trial, the former beauty queen said that she is hanging on her faith that she will eventually overcome this.

She also gave a piece of advice to everyone to pay attention on the health aspect.

“PLEASE, never forget to take care of yourself. If you see something or feel something different in your body have it checked,” Dayanara Torres said.
