Ex Beauty Queen Dies After Surgical Operation
The former beauty queen identified Mary Grace Villanueva died after she underwent a minor surgical operation at a hospital in Batangas.
Miss Calaca 2007 Mary Grace Villanueva died last January 15, 2018 after undergoing a minor surgery on her sinus.
The Pinay beauty queen passed away three days after her operation at the Lady of Caysasay Medical Center in Lemery.
The 27-year-old lady decided to underwent a minor operation to relieve her sinusitis but her face got bloated, tonsil got swollen, felt extreme pain in throat, and suffered breathing difficulty.
Villanueva died of cardiac arrest, acute respiratory distress syndrome, and maxillary mucocele based on her death certificate.
The beauty queen’s family is also requesting for an autopsy before burying Mary Grace who died at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.
Flaviana Villanueva, the beauty queen’s mother has expressed her grief regarding the incident.
“Gusto ko po sana ma-autopsy muna bago ilibing, willing naman po kami maghintay, baka naman po hindi aabutin ng isang buwan yun, kahit nga huwag na siyang alisin diyan,” Flaviana said.
