Authorities Arrested a Japanese National in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Zamboanga
JAPANESE NATIONAL – The authorities arrested a Japanese national during a drug buy-bust operation conducted in Zamboanga.
Under the Duterte Administration, the campaign against drugs is heightened. Buy-bust operations are conducted in several areas around the country to catch the targets.
Undeniably, there are cases wherein unexpected suspects are caught during the operations.
Recently, a drug buy-bust operation was conducted in Zamboanga City and the authorities arrested a Japanese national.
Based on a report in ABS-CBN News, the operation was conducted in a house in Barangay Tetuan, Zamboanga City.
Police Chief Inspector Mark Anthony Karanain expressed that the authorities caught the 60-year-old Japanese national allegedly using the illegal substance when the drug buy-bust operation happened.
According to the Police Chief Inspector, the said Japanese resides in the city for around 6 years already. Aside from him, the Filipina owner of the house was also nabbed by the authorities.
Based on the report, the Japanese denied that he visited the house to buy the illegal substance. According to him, he just went there to visit his friends and have some conversation with them.
