TAWAG NG TANGHALAN – The Tawag ng Tanghalan January 16 winner is Raymundo Alvarez, on his first win as a “resbaker” from Mindanao.
The January 16 daily contenders were:
- Karen Elyza Mayuyu (Metro Manila)
- Annie Mae Costo (Luzon)
- Raymundo Alvarez (Mindanao)
Vying to face the defending champion Alex Gallardo and bag the title and the “golden mikropono”, the one who stood out and garnered the highest score of 94.8% is Raymundo Alvarez of Mindanao, the daily winner.
In the “tapatan”, the final round, the daily winner and the defending champion have respectively sang the songs Wildflower and Ikaw.
Garnering the highest score of 92.4%, the hailed defending champion for today, January 16, is Raymundo Alvarez of Mindanao .

Tawag Ng Tanghalan is aired in the noontime show Its Showtime which is now on its third year and a singing competition for the amateur singers. The known champions from TNT were Noven Belleza, Jhon Clyd Talili, and Janine Berdin for the first year, kids edition, and second year respectively.
