According to Hazel, when they arrived at the island and were already settled, they decided to swim in the beach in front of their villa.

“The water was calm but few minutes later, big waves were hitting us. I would never forget myself telling Darren to stay near the shore,” she stated.

The Maldives honeymooner further recalled that she told her husband to stay near the shore as they both don’t know how to swim. According to her, in just a split of a second, they could no longer feel the sand and she panicked.

“I thought we were going to die. Darren was trying his best to push me near the shore, but the waves were getting stronger. We were drowning,” Hazel stated in her post.

In her post, the netizen further shared that she could no longer see her husband during that time but she heard him shouting and telling her to float. She tried her best to and she started praying.

“I prayed: Lord, please save me and Darren. I couldn’t hear nor see my husband but please, let us live, spare us from this incident, save us.

I endlessly prayed and continued floating, and then all of a sudden, I felt Darren’s hands on my shoulder, we were back at the shore,” she stated.

In her post, the Maldives honeymooner stressed that God saved them and she believes that she has a great purpose on Earth for being saved from several situations that threatened her life.
