The Feast of the Black Nazarene or popularly known as Traslacion is being celebrated every January 9 of the year.
The annual Traslacion starts from the Minor Basilica in Intramuros to Quiapo Church and usually lasts for over 20 hours.
Millions of Filipino devotees were attending the Black Nazarene’s procession to show their faith and devotion.
The yearly procession of the wooden statue has been already a part of Filipino culture and tradition.
Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada had already declared the suspensions of classes for January 9, 2019 (Wednesday) in both public and private schools in the City of Manila.
