Davao Occidental Jolted by Earthquake with 3.8 Magnitude
EARTHQUAKE – The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded a 3.8 magnitude quake in Davao Occidental this morning, December 26, 2018.
Most of the time, quakes hit with no prior signs. Recently, several places in and out of the Philippines were shaken by quakes of different magnitudes.
One of the latest quakes recorded by Phivolcs is the 2.4 magnitude quake in La Union. There were no expected damage or aftershock due to the said quake.
Recently, Phivolcs recorded another quake in PH. At 07:31:18 in the morning today, December 26, 2018, Davao Occidental was jolted by an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.8.
According to Phivolcs, the quake that jolted a part of Davao Occidental was located 04.58° North, 125.87° East – 104 km South 25° East of Sarangani.
The quake was tectonic in origin and it has a 154 km. depth of focus. Phivolcs stated in its bulletin that there is no expected damage and aftershocks of the said quake.
