Rabiya Mateo gushed over her relationship with Jake Cuenca
Former beauty queen Rabiya Mateo admitted that she is lucky to have Jake Cuenca as her boyfriend.
Rumors linking Rabiya and Jake first circulated when they were spotted at a restaurant in Taguig City. In April 2026, the Kapamilya actor confirmed that they were exclusively dating.
From that, they became more open about their relationship. They would post photos and videos of their sweet moments and their travels.
In a recent article by entertainment writer Jun Lalin in Abante, he mentioned that Jake Cuenca is very supportive of his girlfriend Rabiya Mateo.
Regarding her medical studies at the University of Santo Tomas, for instance, Jake does a lot to keep her inspired in her schooling, and the actor is truly sweet to the Miss Universe Philippines 2020.
Rabiya shared that after an afternoon nap last Wednesday, she woke up to find flowers from her boyfriend. She even showcased the beautiful bouquet Jake sent on her Instagram Story.
Then, Lalin shared that when he and Rabiya Mateo chatted, she said, “Sir Jun, sobrang sweet talaga ni Jake!” Previously, the former beauty queen said that Jake is “the best.”
Meanwhile, in an interview early this month, Rabiya’s ex-boyfriend, Kapuso actor Jeric Gonzales, was asked about the former beauty queen’s relationship with Jake Cuenca.
Jeric admitted that he felt a bit awkward upon seeing that his ex-girlfriend is now with her new boyfriend.
Rabiya and Jeric dated in 2021, and a year after, breakup rumors circulated, but apparently, a reconciliation happened. In 2024, another round of breakup rumors resurfaced. Eventually, Jeric confirmed on the GMA Network show Fast Talk With Boy Abunda that they have been separated.
Jake also had a controversial breakup with actress Chie Filomeno. Rumors surfaced that Chie left him to be with Cebu-based businessman Matthew Lhuillier. The Kapamilya actor opted not to speak about this.
