Miss Universe 2018 all-women selection committee features 2 Filipinas
Two Filipinas are joining the Miss Universe 2018 all-women selection committee – Monique Lhuillier and Richelle Singson-Michael.
This year’s most prestigious beauty pageant in the world is set to happen on December 17 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Recently, the preliminary competitions have already started. The national costume presentation was held last December 10 while the preliminary swimsuit and gown competitions happened last December 13.
During these events, Catriona Gray, the representative from the Philippines, has captured the attention of many pageant enthusiasts.

Apparently, she is not the only Filipina who is now present in Miss Universe 2018 pageant.

Two Filipinas are also part of the selection committee, based on The Philippine Star’s report.
World-renowned bridal and fashion designer Monique Lhuillier and CEO of Platinum Skies Aviation and FitTech Casha me, Richelle Singson-Michael, are among the members of the said committee.

Lhuillier is known to be the designer of prominent women around the globe. The fashion designer from Cebu has also created the wardrobe for first ladies of United States of America.
Aside from these achievements, she is also a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
Meanwhile, Singson-Michael is the daughter of business tycoon and former politician Luis ‘Chavit’ Singson.

She is also the vice chairwoman of LCS Group of companies which “led and oversaw the hosting of the 65th Miss Universe in the Philippines”, based on the report.

- Janaye Ingram – 2017 Glamour Magazine Women of the Year and Miss New Jersey USA 2004
- Michelle McLean – Miss Universe 1992 from Namibia. She was crowned in Bangkok and now the chair of the Michelle McLean Children Trust and Founding partner of the Business of Beauty.
- Iman Oubou – Morrocan-American entrepreneur and former pageant ttile holder. She is also one of the CIO Magazine’s 2018 “Female Entrepreneur’s to Watch”
- Lili Gil Valletta – World Economic Forum Young leader O.S. Hispanic Businessperson of the Year. She is also the 2018 Women of Excellence Award recipient and CEO of CEO of CulturIntel and CIEN+, among others.
