Here’s a closer look at Miss Universe 2018 candidate from Japan, Yuumi Kato

Get to know more about Miss Universe Japan 2018 Yuumi Kato who wore a Sailormoon costume during the pageants National Costume presentation.

Previously, it was reported that Yuumi’s wardrobe for the most prestigious beauty pageant will feature the designs from Filipino designers.

It was said that Japan’s new national director for Miss Universe,  Hiroko Mima, wanted to have more unique designs for their candidate this year.

In line with this aim, Hiroko sees that Filipino designers will meet their expectations.

“Filipino designers have a way of making Asian women look sexy but elegant,” she said.

Based on Inquirer’s report, the candidate from the land of the rising sun caught the attention of many during the Miss Universe 2018 national costume presentation.

Yuumi was wearing a costume of Sailormoon which is a famous anime character.

Her face may feature her softness but according to the report, she is a fighter.

It was also said that she is being pegged as one of the strongest candidates from Asia in this year’s Miss Universe.
